Saturday saw the presentation of the future Bamburgh play area in the pavilion hosted by the team of 5 residents who represent the project management group. Posters of the proposed site plan of the future play area and of each of the activities were on display and John and Carol Danby, who set up Playscheme family company near York several decades ago, had braved the storm to provide guided tours, explanations and respond to villager’s questions. Village residents turned out in force and showed real interest in the project. Many left comments, which were overwhelmingly positive, and we also collected some interesting suggestions. During the next few weeks, we will be discussing with Playscheme the possibility of incorporating these suggestions into the final design.
Following this meeting we can move to the next phases of the project … .obtaining authorisations/approvals and funding. Thanks again to all residents for your support. We will keep you informed of progress and will undoubtedly call on your goodwill again as the project advances.
