The end of the tourist season also coincided with some significant milestones in the life of the play area renewal project. The plans were submitted for planning permission early in September and were recently approved by the County Council planning department. During the comments phase a couple of positive suggestions were made which, following our practice of consultation and discussion, will be taken into consideration by the installer in the final design.
In parallel, we received good news from a few remaining potential donors, which meant that we have achieved our ambitious financial goal and were able to sign the purchase order with Playscheme and move to the procurement and manufacture stage. The timing of the groundwork is weather-dependent however we will provide further updates as the project proceeds in the next few months.
